In Honduras, build “private city” with their tax and legal system
Now you can not only buy the city as it is offered in the U.S., but also to build their own with their tax and legal system. The Government of Honduras has signed an agreement with a group of foreign investors to establish a “private city”.
How assumes leadership of the country, such an agreement should boost GDP growth. Expected to be created thousands of jobs, reports the BBC.
However, this experiment has caused controversy in society. This initiative does not like the indigenous peoples, who fear losing their land.
For the first time the idea of “private cities” voiced by American economist Paul Rommer. He believes that such settlements with more sophisticated rules and parade can help change the economy of developing countries.
